Aesthetics platform Tweak has collaborated with the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) and the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN).
The collaboration will see BAMAN and BCAM members join Tweak’s verified practitioner community and contribute directly to patient educational content, helping patients understand what it truly means to choose a qualified, safety-focused professional.
The partnerships combine member benefits with a programme of joint activity running through the autumn, including Instagram Lives with representatives of each organisation, a Tweak speaking slot at a BCAM regional meeting, and member-facing content developed with each association.
BCAM and BAMAN members can access Tweak through the respective association’s member benefit programmes. Tweak is also among the digital tools named in BCAM’s Vet It Before You Get It campaign, which encourages patients to check their practitioner’s credentials and keep a record of the treatments they have had.
Founder aesthetic practitioner Dr Kat Bennett commented, “Patients are being asked to make decisions about who treats them with very little to go on. Working with BAMAN and BCAM means the people setting the standards and the patients trying to find those standards are finally pointing in the same direction. That is the whole reason Tweak exists.”
Chair of BAMAN Amy Bird added, “Our members are highly qualified medical professionals, but that isn’t always visible to the patient sitting in front of them. Supporting a tool that helps patients recognise verified practitioners, and keep their own treatment record, is a practical step towards safer patient journeys.”
BCAM president Dr Sophie Shotter concluded, ““Encouraging patients to check credentials before they book, and to keep a record of what they have had done, is central to our Vet It Before You Get It campaign. Digital tools like Tweak give patients a straightforward way to do both.”
