A certificate for one of the most read papers in Lasers in Medicine and Surgery has been presented to the authors of an article on thermal fractional skin rejuvenation system Tixel.
Written by Ronen Shavit, chief technology officer at Novoxel – the company behind Tixel, and Dr Christine Dierickx, ‘Tixel – A New Method for Percutaneous Drug Delivery by Thermo-Mechanical Fractional Injury’ evaluates the efficacy of pre-treatment with Tixel at low energy settings.
Anthony Zacharek, director of Aztec Services, the UK distributor of Tixel, said, “Cutaneous drug uptake is a very interesting topic. Ronen and Christine wrote a wonderful, well-received paper. Ronen presented a mathematical model showing why Tixel enhances drug absorption, while Christine showed that clinical results are in conformity. Special thanks and congratulations to Ronen for his continued contributions on why things work.”
