The British Association of Sclerotherapists (BAS) has announced the speakers for its upcoming webinars, which will take place over the next four months.
The first webinar titled ‘Varicose vein treatments in 2020: Reconciling patient and practitioner priorities’ will be held on October 8, hosted by vascular surgeon Professor Bruce Campbell and consultant vascular surgeons Mr Manjit Gohel and Mr Philip Coleridge Smith.
The BAS explains that the webinar will debate the merits and downsides of the many treatment modalities currently available for varicose veins and saphenous reflux, and consider how to reconcile patient concerns, financial considerations, and how to achieve the best possible clinical and cosmetic outcomes.
More talks will take place on November 12, December 3 and January 14.
BAS operations manager, Hilary Furber, commented, “We are excited to be moving our CPD events virtual for the time being. The annual BAS conference each May has become the go-to CPD event for sclerotherapy practitioners, and this programme aims to fill the gap left by its enforced cancellation. A highly interactive format will blend live presentations, panel debates, video demonstrations and real time exchanges through chats and polls, allowing participants to question or challenge expert speakers and contribute their own views. Registering separately for each webinar means participants can pick and choose only those most relevant to their own practices.”
