Aesthetic practitioner Dr Alison Colville has launched a new weekly podcast called The Applied Aesthetics Podcast.
Dr Colville shares that the podcast explores the clinical nuances of aesthetics with conversations about anatomy, consultation, patient safety, complications, regenerative medicine and evidence-based practice, alongside the realities of building a career in aesthetics.
Dr Colville notes that episodes also tackle topics including imposter syndrome, transitioning from the NHS into private practice, leadership and professional development. Alongside solo educational episodes, the podcast features interviews with experts, including consultant plastic surgeon Ms Priyanka Chadha, aesthetic practitioner and dentist Dr Lee Walker, nurse practitioner Kate Monteith-Ross, among others.
Dr Colville commented, “I created The Applied Aesthetics Podcast to have the conversations our profession needs more of, blending science, psychology and the business of aesthetics. My hope is that every episode leaves listeners not only with greater clinical knowledge, but also with the confidence to build safer, more fulfilling careers.”
