The British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) is developing its dental faculty to provide stronger representation, education and peer support for dentists building careers in aesthetics.
BCAM shares that the move reflects the growing number of dental professionals offering facial aesthetics, injectables and skin-rejuvenation treatments. BCAM says the faculty will help dentists connect with medical peers, access accredited education and contribute to higher standards of patient safety and clinical governance across the sector.
BCAM president and aesthetic practitioner Dr Sophie Shotter commented, “We see a real opportunity for BCAM to provide better professional representation for dentists, helping to fulfil both their needs and to signpost patients towards practitioners ethically working across both specialities.”
