UK directory of medically qualified aesthetic clinics The Clinic List has announced an affiliation with the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM).
According to The Clinic List, the affiliation will focus on patient safety, transparency, practitioner standards and education across the medical aesthetics sector.
The Clinic List was co-founded by aesthetics practitioner and emergency medicine physician Dr Steph Ketley and Ben Barter. The directory aims to help patients make more informed decisions when choosing an aesthetics provider and identify practitioners who meet appropriate professional and safety standards.
Dr Ketley commented, “Becoming affiliated with BCAM is a significant milestone for The Clinic List and feels like a very natural fit for what we are trying to achieve. Through my work in emergency medicine, I have seen what can happen when aesthetic treatments go wrong. One of the biggest challenges is that patients do not always know what good practice should look like or what questions they should be asking before they book. We are incredibly proud to support BCAM’s ‘Vet It Before You Get It’ campaign and to help amplify a message that aligns so closely with the reason The Clinic List was created.”
